Bridger and I met at Texarkana College in 2007 and eventually began dating. We were married in 2012 and moved to Baton Rouge, where we lived while Bridger earned his Veterinary degree at LSU. We moved to Northeast Texas in 2015 for his first job. Towards the end of that year, we began talking about starting a family. We always wanted children. We had been married three years, had stable jobs, and a wonderful church family. It was practical and made sense. … A few months later, on Easter Sunday 2016, we were out eating with some friends after church.

Thursday, November 5, Joseph Raymond hosted "10 Artists-1 Night Only" at the beautiful Omega Building in downtown Texarkana. … Local collectors and art lovers joined area artists Ryan Schimidt, Polly Cook, Tyler Arnold, Chris Thomas, Jon Welborn, Jess Weiner, Holly Perez, James Hayes, and Allan Phillips for Raymond's annual showcase of incredible Arklatex talent. It was a great night with a variety of works including paintings, sculpture, blown glass, pottery and more!


The 36th Annual Opportunities, Inc. Autumn Luncheon

The Opportunities, Inc. "Drive-Through" Autumn Luncheon was held on Thursday, November 5th outside the Senior Day Building. … This signature event hosted by the Foundation Board has been held since 1985. While traditionally hosted in a home, extra precautions were taken to make it as safe as possible. The drive-through luncheon included a wonderful box lunch prepared by local Chef Marjorie Slimer, and each box included a recipe card featuring one of her specialty desserts. … Joan Carter and the late Nancy Sandefur founded the Opportunities, Inc.
