As a community, we are fortunate to have many hunting and fishing opportunities so close to home. The best parts of hunting are twofold: spending quality time with friends and family in the great outdoors and providing quality table fare at home for our friends and family! … We can each look back and remember the first time we went hunting. Nostalgic memories flood in and remind us of that heart pounding moment right before our first big kill.

The traditional image of families uniting to cook and share a meal has been at the heart of this holiday for centuries. However, with modern lifestyles ever-evolving, a new trend is emerging—increasingly, families are turning to local restaurants to source their Thanksgiving meals.

Fluent in Spanish, Ashley started her career in San Antonio at the nation’s largest (at the time) Hispanic advertising agency, Bromley Communications, where she led campaigns on global packaged goods brands like Nestle and General Mills. While part of a global network out of Paris, France, she managed multi-agency teams from one of the original “mad men” agencies in Lower Manhattan. A month after becoming Principal and CEO of Texas Creative, Ashley structured a global agency partnership with an Australian-based firm to be the US Agency of Record for a global sports-betting company.

The James Henry Russell Stem Complex Opens at Texarkana College

On October 10, 2023, Texarkana College (TC) held the grand opening of the Dr. James Henry Russell STEM Complex. The naming of the complex is a well-deserved honor, as James Henry Russell (JHR) has spent his life endeavoring to make Texarkana the best place to live, work, and raise a family. It was a day full of celebrating Texarkana College’s beautiful state-of-the-art complex and the amazing opportunities available for TC students. … After graduating from Texas A&M University–College Station, JHR turned down a job offer in New York State and returned to Texarkana.

She grew up in Texarkana and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2016. Lauren received her Master of Business Administration from Montclair State University and her Bachelor of Arts from The King’s College.
